In the past our fall program has included the Agoura Fall Ball league, but travel to and from Agoura every Sunday is burdensome. So this year, instead of weekly scrimmage games, we will attend two tournaments. This will allow us to get more games in at better competition levels and free up most weekends. We will also schedule about three scrimmage games. The cost is being kept about the same as the Agoura Fall Ball league.
As some of you know, many high school teams in the area participate in tournaments through clubs and we believe this is a great way to get game experience without the weekly commitment of the fall league. We will team up with Rogue Lacrosse to offer these tournament teams, combining our efforts with Calabasas High School. In this way, we can offer experiences more tailored to the skills and developmental needs of our individual players while building our teamwork. This is going to give VHS more opportunities to practice as well. We will still hold two practices a week at VHS, but there will now be a third practice option. Mondays from 4:30 to 6:30pm at Balboa Park, starting September 18, Rogue will be hosting practices for everyone in the program. While this practice is optional, we hope you will all take advantage of it. It is a great opportunity to get additional work, both as a team and for individuals.
